A shepherd is a mentor who is experienced in the area of business development. The shepherd possesses the ability to effectively assist an entrepreneur with the development of his/her idea. The shepherd works with a team of business advisors to help the entrepreneur construct a business and implementation plan that will be used as the basis to acquire venture capital. He/She helps the entrepreneur identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and assists in making key connections to business people and customers. The shepherd helps the entrepreneur take a disciplined approach to business development.
You must contact one of the members of the BBEC executive team indicating your interest in becoming a shepherd. You will be required to submit a resume and letter outlining your interest in BBEC and reasons you believe you would make an ideal shepherd. All shepherds must be approved by the Board.
